Whether it’s invoices, attendance certificates, vacation requests, activity reports, or parts lists: nowadays, there are countless standardized documents that are created every day in companies. It should be clear to everyone that manual creation is not an option. After all, it ties up unnecessary resources and is prone to errors. But what is the alternative? VSTO or even Word automation, as was done in the 90s? In this presentation, you will learn about another alternative for server-side document generation: the Microsoft Office Open XML SDK. After a brief overview of the structure and functionality of the SDK, you will learn how to create Word-compatible (*.docx) documents free of charge through practical live demos. However, you will not only learn what is possible, but also where the limits lie.
