Thanks to the Xamarin platform, C# developers can write apps for Android—the most widely used mobile operating system—using familiar tools, languages, and frameworks. And that’s exactly what this presentation is about. In 75 minutes, I will explain the system requirements for developing for Android with Visual Studio and C#, what activities and intents are all about, and how Android differs from other mobile operating systems such as iOS or Windows 10 for Mobile. To this end, I will program a small app live that demonstrates multiscreen navigation, local data storage, and much more.
